Program Details!

DAILY
MEALS are available for dine-in and takeaway between 2:30pm to 5:00pm Monday to Friday! If you'd like a takeout meal, please provide a clean plastic container. If you require a vegetarian meal, please give us a call before 11:30 am at (416) 598-2919. 

DROP-IN is open between 12:00pm to 6:00pm Monday to Thursday and from 12:00pm to 5:00pm on Fridays. Join us for programming, fun conversations and a good time! 

 

Fun events like dances, special meals, outings, community meetings, and clothing giveaways take place throughout the month. Take a look at our monthly calendar to get those details! 


MONDAYS


 ART GROUP: Drop by at 12:30pm to complete some guided art with our lovely student, Amiya! Engage in some crafts, painting, and other creative ways to express yourself and connect with the community. 

 

ANGER MANAGEMENT: These meetings are for anyone who is interested in gaining control over their anger and strong emotions using CBT tools! Join us on Mondays at 3:30pm. Groups are split based on gender, please connect with staff if you have any questions, or if you'd like to sign up!

TUESDAYS

BINGO: Join us at 1:00pm to play some lucky rounds! Awesome prizes are available. If you come by early, you can help pick out which patterns are played!

TOURNAMENTS: is All are welcome to our game day! Prizes are available for most tournaments (exception: Trivia). Come by at 3:30pm to play against your peers in games of Pool, Cribbage, Trivia, Crazy Eights, and Euchre!


WEDNESDAYS 

MUSIC GROUP: Come by at 1:00 to get in touch with your creative side through music! Join others in singing and playing instruments. 

 

KAROKE: Grab the mic and sing your heart out every Wednesday at 4:00pm! Sign up and join us on the stage to show off your singing skills. All are welcome.  

 

THURSDAYS​​​

PEER SUPPORT GROUP (in-person):  We are in the process of reviving our Peer Support Group! Come by at 3:00pm and participate in our conversations surrounding mental health and wellness. We will use this time to reflect and voice our challenges, while offering support to our peers. 

 

FRIDAYS

WRITING GROUP (online): is open Writing group is led by our awesome volunteer, Peter - a professional journalist! This group can be used as a time to connect with one another, build friendships and channel our creativity together. Everyone is welcome to join and no prior experience is required! Fun fact - Peter has been coming to Our Place in person, so you can join at 1:30pm in the centre as well. Hope to see you then. If joining through Zoom, click HERE

*NEW* GUIDED JOURNALING: Join our fun, new guided program to engage in some mindfulness, gratitude, and guided writing to express yourself and engage in deep thought. Express yourself through written word and try to release tensions you may hold in your mind and body. Group will be facilitated by our staff Nyoka and our awesome student Nate! See you on Fridays at 4:00pm.
