What goes on in the drop-in?Mental illness can be a very lonely experience. We encourage participants to come to The Centre and socialize, make friends and have fun. Our Place provides organized activities such as karaoke, live music, bingo, writing groups, bible study and more. Anyone is welcome to use our art supplies, games and cards and to play a game of pool. Or you can just come in and hang out or have a meal with friends. We have had to adjust our programing to comply with the provincial COVID-19 guidelines and are unable to hold programs inside the centre. However, we are offering a range of programs online and serve free meals between 3:00p.m. and 5:00p.m., Monday-Friday. Check out our Program Calendar and Blog for more information.

What are you doing to ensure you continue to support people safety during COVID-19?We are doing our best to continue to safely support you during this complicated and uncertain time and have adjusted our programming accordingly. As of right now our programming is available both in person and online; please see the program calendar if you have any questions. Everyone is socially distanced inside with a limit of 2 people per table. Meals are being served to-go so you can come and grab a meal to take away and enjoy (Monday-Friday, 3:00p.m. to 5:00p.m.). We are enforcing physical distancing during this time so everyone waiting for a meal is asked to keep a 2 meters (6-foot) distance from others. Our Place staff and students are required to complete a COVID-19 Self-Assessment prior to coming to work every day. Masks are mandatory, as is physical distancing and proper hand hygiene.
