Nancy

Our Place founding Board Member, Nancy Sidle passed away this week.  Nancy was 'a force to be reckoned with' and a strong ally to the disadvantaged and especially people living with mental illness here in Toronto.  In 1991, Nancy's name is the first on our Incorporation papers and she did much to help ensure the long life of Our Place.  Recently, she returned to the Board, bringing great wisdom and spirit to the leadership of the Centre.

Wayne and Suzanne Prosper

Longtime Our Place participants, Wayne Prosper and Suzanne Lapointe Prosper were married upstairs from Our Place in the Galilee Korean Presbyterian Church, Saturday November 7th.  Congratulations to the happy couple.

Friday October 2nd, 35 Deloitte employees showed up to work... at the Our Place Centre.  They helped us paint the entire main program space.  And donated all the painting supplies.  Thanks Deloitte!

On July 2nd, some of you may have noticed a news story involving Galilee Korean Presbyterian Church, where Our Place is housed.

In the early morning around 5 AM, a stolen car that the Police were pursuing, skidded out of control, broke through the guard rail outside the church, snapped off a traffic light pole and slammed into the front door.  Luckily, no one was around that early - and no one was hurt.  The driver was arrested and Our Place was able to open for programming as usual.

Open Letter to Our Place Members, Participants, Families and Supporters
