Partnering with Toronto Public Health and City of Toronto Parks and Recreation, Our Place provided 5 weeks of Diabetes Prevention education and a Physical Fitness sampler.  Our Place members were able to try Dancersize, Hatha Yoga, Low Impact Aerobics, Tai Chi and a Stress Management Guided Meditation.  Over the five weeks, 92 people took part in some sort of physical activity - mostly activities they had never tried before.  Our Place continues to work with the City to arrange follow-up participation in programs at local Parks and Recreation facilities and assist Our Place participants to apply for the City's Welcome Policy so they can access these programs cost free.
